Students from grade 5-8 may participate in Student Life. Although members are not elected, each member must maintain good grades and be a Christian role model for his/her peers. The organization is service oriented as students work together on several projects. Members must attend scheduled meetings and semester service projects.
 
PSIA (Private Schools Interscholastic Association) PDF Print E-mail
PSIA is an academic competition which offers a variety of contests to students in grades 1-8. The program is designed to support the basic academic curriculum so that students can apply what they have learned in the classroom. Students get the chance to test their skills and knowledge, achieve recognition for academic excellence and find a new excitement in learning.
 
Computer Club PDF Print E-mail
Computer Club meets after school. It gives students extra time on the computer to practice their skills. We work on our typing skills as well as learning to use graphic programs. We also have a chance to enjoy the various educational games that strengthen skills in other curriculum areas. There is a participation fee.
 
Bible Bowl PDF Print E-mail
Students in grades 5-8 are eligible to participate in Bible Bowl. There are two teams (grades 5-6 and grades 7-8) that compete against other Lutheran schools in the Houston area. All students are welcome to participate in practice sessions. Contestants will be chosen for competition based on ability and participation in practice. The actual Bible Bowl contests test student's knowledge of Bible facts. Students work as a team to get points by answering questions correctly. Practices will be held before or after school. Competition is held on Saturday mornings.
 
Accelerated Reader PDF Print E-mail

The Accelerated Reader program is designed to help inspire students to become life long readers and learners. Students select and read books from the reading list. Then they take a quiz over the material and earn points. These points will be used for goal setting purposes and/or reward systems that vary by grade level.  

Accelerated Reader Booklists are available by Author, Title, and Book Level. Use the Bookmark tab to find the index to quickly find the book you are looking for. You will need Adobe Reader to view or print the booklist.
