Blessings of sunshine, steel, and a solid foundation. . .
A few good days of sunshine have allowed for some great progress on the construction of the new sanctuary. The major steel is erected. The big crane was dismantled, loaded and hauled away on Thursday, July 26. Steel work continues in the roof area. The size and magnitude of the facility is becoming visually evident. As the grand figure of Trinity Lutheran Church takes shape in the skyline of the Klein community, we have the tremendous blessing of being a beacon of our Savior to our friends and neighbors.

Rain, rain, and more rain . . . the construction progress has been slowed down by the rain, but thankfully, Friday morning, a break in the clouds allowed for more work to be done on the new sanctuary. If weather permits, you'll see more work being done on Sunday. Continue to keep the exciting construction on the sanctuary and chapel in your prayers, as we prepare ourselves for the additional ways that God will provide us in the building of His Kingdom through Trinity Lutheran Church and school.

"I will bless you ... and you will be a blessing." Genesis 12:2-3
Trinity Lutheran Church and School is in an exciting phase of construction. Our new sanctuary and chapel construction is underway. From our beginning in 1874 with 8 charter members, we are building a new sanctuary which will have seating for 1,325, and a chapel which will seat 200. Trinity has been an important part of the Klein community, and we are excited to continue our tradition of being at the forefront of the Christian life of this area.
With construction projects come change and challenges. Our first and foremost concern is the safety of our school children and members. The construction mandates changes in both vehicular and pedestrian traffic routes, and implementation of security measures.
We ask for your prayers and patience during construction. We anticipate dedicating the new worship facility in Summer 2008. Hallelujah! In the interim, we will continue to worship in our present Sanctuary, with services at 8:00 and 10:50 AM, and the Contemporary Service at 11:00 AM in the Family Life Center (FLC). Sunday Morning Bible Study will still be 9:30-10:30 AM every Sunday.
Update - Friday June 8, 2007
On Friday morning, the slab was poured for the chapel, mainstreet, narthex, and in the chancel area up to where the floor begins to slope down. Work began at 3:50 AM and had 250 cubic yards in place by at 7:00 AM. Finishing work is being continued throughout the day. The rock parking lot to the east of the Family Life Center is now ready for use.
