Each year we take an anual trip to the Dallas area with our Junior High students.  This is a great opportunity for students to have fun at theme parks and serve the families of the Dallas area.  This year the trip is scheduled for July 21st-23rd, 2009.  We will leave at 7am on Tuesday morning and arrive at Hurricane Harbor by noon.  (bring a sack lunch for outside the park)  We will spend the day there and then head to Peace Lutheran Church for pizza and spending the night.  We will spend the next day at 6 flags in Dallas.  Make sure to pack sun block as it is usually quite hot.  We will enjoy the rides and games then return again to Peace to spend the night again at Peace.  Then on Thursday, we will travel to the Dallas LINC (Lutheran Innercity Network Coalition) location at New Hope Lutheran Church.  The students will be able to help teach VBS style lessons to inner city children, as well as play games and have fun with them.  We always enjoy singing with them as they show a lot of excitement for the Lord and often teach us new songs.  The students have always found this to be a highlight of the trip.  If you are interested in attending this summer or next, contact the youth office if you have any questions.  The cost is $130 and covers all expenses except for one meal (a money envelope is collected for that)
