Trinity carries forward a rich Lutheran tradition of incorporating
rich music into worship and educational life. Since the time of Martin
Luther, the Lutheran Church has been known as "the singing church." Our
worship and celebrations have been enriched by a priceless collection
of liturgies, choral works, and hymns through which we express our
faith. (This last sentence is extracted from the Thrivent Lutheran Music web site. Check it out for detailed information about this rich history!)
Trinity's
music programs include a senior choir, a hand bell choir, praise bands,
smaller group choirs, and school choirs. We are blessed with a large
number of very talented musicians and singers. If you've never visited
Trinity during one of the church's festival periods, you're in for a
real treat! Our Christmas and Easter services are filled with the
sounds of praise and worship with the combined harmonies of a full
orchestra and our choirs.
Our sanctuary is filled
with rich sound when one of our organists is at the console of our
Martin Ott organ, built in 1991. For more information about this
wonderful instrument, click here. Additional information includes technical details as well as photos.
Trinity has been pleased to host several special events. These have included:
- Diane Bish
- Thomas Sauer
- Walter Pelz
Our
pipe organ was also featured in a special recital entitled “And Now,
from Leipzig...” The recital included local performers in period
costumes representing J.S.Bach, Anna Magdalena Bach, Georg Philipp
Telemann, Johann Ludwig Krebs, Johann Ernst Galliard, Christian
Ferdinand Abel, and Faustina Hasse.
